Organic thermoelectric

In recent years, environmental power generation technology, which converts heat, vibration, and other energies around us into electric power, has been attracting attention. This research aims to realize organic thermoelectric devices based on a new mechanism by applying charge-transfer (CT) complex. CT complex is known for causing carrier separation with thermal energy as small as room temperature. This time, we realized an organic thermoelectric device with a maximum output of 94 nW cm-2, by optimizing the thickness of the carrier generation and carrier transport layers.
