The goal of this study is to create a waveguide-coupled TES with high detection efficiency, which indirectly couples a silicon waveguide to a superconducting transition-edge sensor (TES). As a preliminary step to the actual device design, we conducted simulations to determine the most efficient structure for detecting photons when a TES is indirectly coupled to a waveguide. As a result, it was found that the absorption efficiency changes drastically with slight differences in conditions such as the size of the waveguide and the distance between the waveguide and the TES. In the presentation, we will report the details of these results.
