Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) has been studied for biosensing application because it is highly sensitive to dielectric constant changes around nanoparticles. Various methods have been proposed to control the size and arrangement of nanoparticles, however all of them are complicated processes. In this study, gold nanoparticles were prepared in a one-step using arc plasma deposition (APD) and applied to biosensing.
