We developed a system that automatically and autonomously searches for new materials using machine learning and robotics. Thin films are prepared as samples by RF magnetron sputtering. Various measurement and analysis devices are then physically interconnected. The measurement data is collected in a database on the cloud in a standard data format (MaiML format) established by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers Association and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The data is then analyzed by software on the cloud and utilized for autonomous experiments.
