When a metallic ball is thrown into the air, its trajectory is represented by a quadratic curve. In order to correctly represent the trajectory of a physical phenomenon, it is necessary to understand the relationship between tables, equations, and graphs, and to have the general mathematical ability to handle them appropriately. In this study, we discussed the relationship between the shape of the graph of a quadratic curve (convex up, convex down) and the sign of the second derivative, and developed a website to facilitate conceptual understanding.
