We developed a method that enables simultaneous acquisition of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) data for nanoparticles within 0.1 seconds by combining a wavelength-dispersive polychromatic X-ray beam, as used in energy-dispersive XAS, with a two-dimensional detector. This method is approximately 100 times faster than conventional sequential measurements. It offers great potential as a powerful tool for multiscale and operando characterization of nanomaterials.
