Hyper-dimensional computing (HDC) is a technique that enables low computational cost and high speed processing by using simple algorithms. In this study, we implement a tactile sensing technique that converts light tactile information generated by irradiating light inside soft materials into high-dimensional light scattering pattern information and estimates it in real-time using an algorithm based on HDC. This technique is intended to reduce the weight of the sensor and to improve the efficiency of real-time tactile recognition.
