[7a-N107-4] Recovery of Light Yield and α/β ratio in Aged Ce:LiCAF Scintillators by Annealing

We investigated the recovery of scintillation properties in aged Ce:LiCAF crystals through annealing. After thermal treatment, both light yield and alpha/beta ratio improved significantly, enhancing neutron–gamma discrimination. X-ray-excited emission and transmittance spectra indicated defect healing. A conceptual model suggests the reduced Cherenkov contribution plays a key role in α/β improvement.
