我々はパルス幅0.5nsの全固体193nmレーザ光源を用い、Si(100)ウェハのアブレーション閾値をLiu's methodにより評価した。ガウシアンビームで加工したクレータ径から算出した閾値は0.43J/cm²（R²=0.98）であり、従来のArFエキシマレーザ（パルス幅15ns）による閾値0.52J/cm²より低い結果が得られた。
