Layered 2D compounds are expected to have applications in semiconductor devices because their properties change depending on the number of layers and the composition of the individual layers. We are attempting the Janus transformation of layered Group 13 monocalchogenide atomic films by replacing the chalcogen element on the surface with another chalcogen element. In this study, we compared the Raman spectra of GaSe, which was exfoliated and heated under a sulfur atmosphere, with the Raman spectra of GaS, GaSe, and Janus Ga2SSe multilayer polytypes obtained from theoretical calculations.
