Bulk photovoltaic effects, such as the shift current, have been attracting attention recently, and these days, the interesting magnetic bulk photovoltaic effect due to the breaking of time-reversal symmetry has been reported. However, such magnetic current has not yet been fully understood. CrPS4 is an air-stable magnetic layered material, and has attracted attention as a platform for the magnetic bulk photovoltaic effect. In this study, we fabricated thin-layer CrPS4 device, and observed the ferroelectric transition and nonlinear photocurrent response upon application of high voltage.
