Titanium-based perovskite-type oxyde materials have conventionally been sintered in H2/N2 reducing atmosphere at approximately 1400 °C. In the last symposium, we introduced a sintering method by exposing BaTiO3 powder compacts to Na metal vapor at 800 °C to obtain semiconducting BaTiO3-based Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistor ceramics exceeding relative density of 95%. In the present study, additional experiments were performed by adding CaTiO3, SrTiO3 as the sintering target materials, and K, Zn as the metal vapor sources.
