In this study, we synthesized polycrystalline thin films using a combinatorial sputtering method combined with NH3 annealing to explore new phases in the La-Nb-N ternary nitride system. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed reflections that are attributed to a structure presumed to be perovskite-type LaWN3, suggesting the formation of a novel La-Nb-N phase. In this presentation, we will also report on the evaluation of the optical and transport properties, as well as the electronic structure.
