We performed a feasibility study of a terahertz-based swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) system. A terahertz light source, a terahertz detector, a reference mirror, and a measurement object were each arranged via a beam splitter to form a Michelson interferometer. When we actually swept the terahertz wave frequency and observed the interference signals, we were able to observe differences in the signal corresponding to the various positions of the objects.
