Recently, magnetic thin films with composition gradient in the vertical direction have attracted attention. Such composition gradient has the potential to induce DMI and Rashba effect, which are important for controlling domain wall (DW) motion, without using magnetic ultra-thin films and heavy metals that are unsuitable for practical use. We conducted current-induced DW motion in Gd-Fe wires with vertical composition gradient and investigated the effect of composition gradient on the DW motion. The DW velocity in the composition gradient wires is faster than that in a GdFe wire with uniform composition.
