Exciton quenching generally occurs in organic thin film devices originates from escaping propagating surface plasmon (SPP) in metal thin films from exciton sites. To confine SPPs in the vicinity of excitons, we used WGM resonators. We fabricated disk-shaped plasmonic WGM resonators with diameters of 10 µm or smaller and found that the threshold intensities for photoluminescence amplification were lower than reference resonators without metal. In our presentation, we will discuss the origin of this reduction of threshold intensities.
