The hinge state, a higher-order topological state of a three-dimensional system, has potential applications as a robust one-dimensional waveguide in an optical circuit. In this study, we fabricated semiconductor Woodpile photonic crystals with a hinge state by a micromanipulation method and performed low-temperature micro-photoluminescence measurements on InAs quantum dots in the photonic crystals. We successfully observed the intensity peak due to the hinged state and confirmed that the polarization properties of the hinge state are consistent with those of numerical calculations.
