VO2 exhibits an insulator-metal transition around 68°C, where the electrical resistance changes by 4 to 5 orders of magnitude and the infrared transmittance also changes significantly. Therefore, it is expected to be applied to smart windows and other devices. In this study, VO2 films were fabricated by a chemical synthesis method, which enables nanometer-scale control of crystal grain size, aiming to improve transmittance and optical switching performance. The relationship between heat treatment conditions after spin coating and crystallinity was evaluated, and the results will be presented in this talk.
