We have developed an ion-gating reservoir (IGR) as a novel framework of physical reservoir computing (PRC), in which property modulation of semiconductor materials via ion gating serves as a computational resource. In this presentation, we discuss the structure, operating principles, and information processing capacity of IGRs, as well as their application to sensing-integrated edge AI devices that process time-series data obtained from advanced sensing technologies.
