We measured and compared the relative standard deviation (RSD) and SERS spectra of 6 different SERS substrates. Two substrates used Au nanoparticles of varying diameters (30 nm and 50 nm), while 3 substrates were 5 nm-thick Au thin films annealed at 3 different temperatures (500 deg C, 700 deg C, and 900 deg C). These were compared to a commercially available SERS substrate. It was found that, among the 6 substrates, the Au NP substrate with diameter 50 nm had the lowest RSD and highest SERS enhancement.
