We are currently developing a near-ambient-pressure low-energy inverse photoelectron spectroscopy, in which low-energy electrons travel over 30 cm in a low-vacuum. Stable operation requires a uniform work function (WF) of the inner surface of the electrostatic lens, and colloidal graphite (CG) is often applied to this surface. In this study, we propose a method to evaluate the CGs by comparing the WF of CG using UPS, LEET, and KP. We applied this method to three types of CG, focusing on dilution concentration, the presence or absence of thermal annealing, and changes before and after gas inflow.
