We have developed angle-resolved low-energy inverse photoelectron spectroscopy (ARLEIPS) and used it to measure the energy band structures of the conduction band of organic semiconductors. Recently, we incorporated an electron energy analyzer into the electron source, which improves the energy resolution of ARLEIPS from 0.24 eV to 0.12 eV. In this study, we employed the high-resolution ARLEIPS to remeasure the conduction band structure of the single-crystalline pentacene thin film. We observed a shoulder in addition to the main peak of LUMO-derived band which was unclear in the previous study. This higher-precision measurement enables precise measurement of the conduction band structures.
