A dual-comb laser capable of simultaneously generating two optical frequency combs with slightly different repetition rates from a single light source—without requiring frequency stabilization—has been developed. Gas spectroscopy using this light source faces a trade-off between measurement time and spectral bandwidth. To address this issue, we focused on the wavelength tunability induced by the self-frequency shift of Raman solitons. By amplifying the output of a bidirectional dual-comb laser with an EDFA and injecting it into a Raman fiber, we confirmed a continuous redshift of the Raman soliton.
