We aim to develop a microfluidic device that mimics periodontal tissue, including the periodontal ligament (PDL), by applying organ-on-a-chip technology. This preliminary device is designed to facilitate the circulation of nutrients and metabolic waste, and to induce the differentiation of human stem cells, thereby reconstructing the periodontal microenvironment. By utilizing the biocompatibility of titanium, we are developing a device that supports long-term culture and differentiation of PDL cells.
