In recent years, biomedical research has entered a new phase driven by advances in mathematical sciences and AI technologies. In particular, the integration of data-driven approaches such as machine learning with mathematical modeling and simulation is opening new avenues for cross-disease understanding, quantitative risk assessment, infectious disease forecasting and control, and drug development. In this talk, I will introduce some of our efforts at iBLab, where we aim to advance biomedical science through interdisciplinary collaboration centered on mathematical modeling, closely integrated with experimental and clinical research.
