Using laser ablation to synthesize without protective agents simultaneously and employing ITO nanoparticles supported on a solid substrate, we performed refractive index sensing in the near-infrared region and evaluated their characteristics. ITO nanoparticle substrates were fabricated under different laser transfer conditions, and the shifts in LSPR wavelength caused by changes in the surrounding refractive index were measured. The refractive index sensitivity and figure of merit (FOM) were evaluated to assess the potential application of these materials as LSPR sensors.
