This paper reports on chiral second-order nonlinear optical properties of doubly LSP resonance asymmetric aluminum nanorod (AlNR) dimer structure. This study examined the dimer structure which consists of two square-shaped AlNRs of different sizes arranged in close proximity at the nanoscale.Planar chirality arises when the central axes of the AlNRs are displaced from each other, which is a notable feature of the structure. The chiral dimer structure did not exhibit circular dichroism in its absorption spectrum. However, it exhibited significant circular dichroism in the SHG signal. We will report on the results of our systematic investigation into how the circular dichroism of the SHG signal depends on the inter-axis distance. We also discuss the origin of the circular dichroism based on the results of numerical simulation results.
