For early detection of cerebral arteriosclerosis, we focused on the carotid artery wave. Reflected pulse waves are correlated with age and change with the stiffness of blood vessels. However, pulse waves also change with blood flow from the heart. Therefore, this study examined the age dependence of the pulse waves at the carotid artery and carotid blood flow waveforms. The waveforms were extracted by the shape of Weibull distribution for each peak. Focusing on the 2nd peak including reflections from the brain, classification of young and elderly was performed by simple machine learning (SVM).
