In the fields of medicine and life sciences, CARS spectroscopy is a useful technique for label-free identification of molecules based on their intrinsic vibrational spectra. In particular, the use of broadband ultrashort pulsed laser oscillator enables the simultaneous excitation and detection of multiple vibrational modes. This presentation demonstrates the potential for observing broad CARS spectra using a single femtosecond oscillator. The broadband spectrum of a femtosecond pulse is separated using optical filters into a broadband pump and a narrowband probe.
