Multiplex-CARS spectroscopy can observe molecular vibrational modes with high sensitivity. Although a broadband laser such as a femtosecond pulsed oscillator can be used for broadband measurements, the simultaneous generation of non-resonant background is one of the main issues. We have developed a method for obtaining spectra by changing the relative phases of the non-resonant and CARS spectra and extracting their fluctuating components. In this presentation, we demonstrate phase modulation using a waveplate instead of conventional optical delay modulation to verify its effectiveness.
