q-2D perovskite compounds, which have an intermediate structure between 3D and 2D perovskite compounds, are expected to be applied to solar cell materials due to their photoelectric conversion properties and high stability. Pb perovskite, which is currently the mainstream material for solar cells, is harmful to humans and the environment. Therefore, we focused on Sn perovskite compounds as alternative materials. In this study, we prepared Sn-based q-2D perovskite compounds using the diamines, which exhibits a favorable orientation for carrier transport in Pb-based q-2D perovskite compounds. Their crystal structures and solar cell performance were evaluated.
