An external electric field was applied to an atmospheric pressure plasma jet to investigate the effects on gas flow behavior and emission propagation. Visualization measurements of the gas flow were made using the Schlieren method, and changes in flow bending and symmetry were confirmed in response to the external electric field and plasma generation conditions. Emission propagation was also evaluated using a high-speed camera, and it was suggested that the effect of the external electric field appears in the propagation path and the shape of the propagation.
