New materials can be obtained by interpolation from a vast data space, i.e., pseudo-extrapolation. By identifying development bottlenecks, we attempted pseudo-extrapolation using an LLM that avoids generalization of answers. We applied this method to the development of a new high-density magnetic recording medium based on FePt and obtained prediction results on the applicability of fluorine-based segregants, and actually prototyped a high-density microstructure.
