多様なIoTデバイスの開発が進む中、モニタリング等の必ずしも高速で大容量の通信を必要としない間欠動作のデバイスも多く，低消費電力化が課題の一つとなっている．その要求に応えるべく筆者は，ランガサイト型単結晶を用いた振動子を開発し、従来の水晶振動子よりも低インピーダンスで高速起動が可能な省電力型のタイミングデバイスを実現した．
