Fault-tolerant quantum computation (FTQC) is a method of proceeding with computational steps while fighting against errors which occur continually due to faults in the physical devices. In this talk, after explaining about basics of FTQC, I will introduce research progress related to a fundamental question of what the most efficient structure of FTQC is in a large-scale limit.
