Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) as a new type of colloidal nanocrystals (NCs) have gained significant attention for both fundamental research and applications of optoelectronic devices owing to their appealing optoelectronic properties and excellent chemical processability. Synthesizing colloidal QDs with high crystal quality is of crucial importance. In this presentation, we will discuss the fabrication of various phase-stable low-defect perovskite quantum dots (Pb-based, Pb/Sn-based, Sn-based, and double perovskite-based), their optical properties (light absorption and emission), photoexcited carrier dynamics (including relaxation and extraction of hot carriers), and their applications to photovoltaic devices (solar cells and LEDs).
