It has been difficult to develop highly sensitive optomechanical sensor using interaction between light and mechanical vibration in liquid or liquid surfaces where the optical Q value deteriorates. We fabricated a new optomechanical device combining a localized optical mode and a coupled vibrational mode, and succeeded in demonstrating highly sensitive optomechanical measurement in liquid and liquid surfaces.
