Optical systems using terahertz waves are expected to be applied in a variety of fields. However, at present, the materials for the optical elements that make up such systems are scarce in nature, which is one of the challenges for their application. In this study, we proposed and fabricated three-dimensional dielectric metamaterial that has low-pass filter properties for terahertz waves in the Beyond 5G/6G communication bands by using a unique method of dispersing microfabricated silicon cubes in a base material.
