The electron transfer reaction rate at electrode-electrolyte interface depends on the electrochemical potential. The mechanisms of the multi-electron transfer reactions are generally more complicated than that of single electron transfer reactions. Recently, strong coupling, which is a vacuum field-matter interaction, has attracted much attention. It has been reported that various molecular properties and chemical reactions can be modulated. In this talk, we report a theoretical investigation of electron transfer reactions at nanostructured electrodes under strong coupling conditions.
