Lithium-ion batteries are being increasingly used in large storage batteries for electric vehicles (EV) and other applications, and are now required to have high capacity, long life, and high density. Against this backdrop, all-solid-state batteries, in which the electrolyte is replaced from liquid to solid, are attracting attention and being actively researched. In particular, sulfide-based solid electrolytes with high ionic conductivity are the focus of research for EV and other applications. However, because of their susceptibility to moisture and hydrogen sulfide generation, it has been essential to fabricate them in a dry room. We introduce a method to fabricate sulfide-based solid electrolytes without the use of a dry room.
