This study focuses on co-packaged optics (CPO) technology, which is gaining attention as a next-generation data communication technology requiring high bandwidth and low power consumption. Previously, we proposed CPO technology using single-mode polymer optical waveguides and external laser sources (ELS), demonstrating flexibility and low cost. However, insertion loss in optical splitting circuits remained a challenge. Therefore, we optimized the design of bending waveguides in polymer optical waveguides to reduce insertion loss.
