Magnetic nanoparticles show promise not only for their interesting quantum mechanical behaviors but also for medical applications such as magnetic hyperthermia treatment and diagnostic imaging. Analysis of nonlinear magnetic susceptibility, magnetic relaxation phenomena, and heat dissipation effects evaluated their effectiveness in cancer thermal therapy. Their function as MRI contrast agents was also studied, creating a trend in theranostics - combining therapy and diagnosis simultaneously.
