[15a-P05-22] ODTS SAM as intermediate layer for K+ selective PVC membranes for light-addressable potentiometric sensors

A potassium ion-sensitive PVC membrane containing the potassium ionophore valinomycin was prepared on the surface of a chemical imaging sensor LAPS (light-addressable potentiometric sensor), and potassium ions were detected by this membrane. In this study, a self-assembled monolayer called ODTS (octadecyltrichlorosilane) was introduced as an intermediate layer to improve the K+ ion detection.
