The author describes the structure of plasma-based liquid treatment devices that he has prototyped so far, and discusses what the structure of plasma treatment devices should be for highly efficient liquid treatment. As a recent topic, the author also introduces the structure and performance of the "microplasma contactor," which is based on the concept of the "microcontactor," a gas-liquid separator used in chemical engineering for intensification of gas/liquid interfacial reactions.
