水中放電プラズマによる無機材料の表面改質と複合材料開発を進める中、新たにフェムト秒レーザー生成水中プラズマによる改質プロセスに着目した。ポンプ-プローブ法等による反応場のオペランド計測を行い、水和電子の挙動を計測した。また六方晶窒化ホウ素への応用では、微細化と表面改質による分散安定性の大幅な向上を達成し、そのメカニズムを考察した。
