Although glasses is generally regarded as homogeneous random structures on a macroscopic scale, they have a certain degree of order from an atomic-scale viewpoint and also have compositional and structural heterogeneity such as phase separation and crystallization. In this talk, we will focus on our research on the significant improvement of optical and mechanical properties based on the control of glass heterogeneity.
