The long-distance contactless power supply method using laser and laser power converter (LPC) has attracted attention. We investigated the photoelectric conversion process dependent on excitation power density and excitation wavelength using a Si photodiode as the LPC. As a result, the LPC used in this study showed maximum conversion efficiency at 980 nm, and efficiency decreased due to joule heating at high excitation power densities. In the presentation, we will discuss the optimal excitation wavelength considering changes in device temperature and emissivity.
