Time-varying metamaterials, in which the refractive index changes in the time domain, have attracted attention. We have realized permeability time-varying metamaterials by controlling the permeability of ferromagnetic materials. In time-varying metamaterials, frequencies are converted upward and downward. In this talk, we will report on a unique phenomenon in permeability modulation in which the intensity of up-conversion is larger than that of down-conversion.
