We have demonstrated laser elastography for the stifness measurement of phantoms with different hardness, aiming at the establishment of the evaluation scheme by analysing laser-induced photo-thermoelastic waves in the audible frequency range. In this study, we report on a preclinical study conducted to demonstrate the applicability of this technology to early-stage gastric cancer.
