In an electric double-layer transistor (EDLT) with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as the channel layer and ionic liquid (IL) as the gate insulating layer, the normally p-type CNTs can be controlled to be n-type by controlling the gate voltage VG. In this study, CNT thermoelectric conversion devices were fabricated on a flexible substrate utilizing electrets prepared by immobilization treatment of IL polarized at a specific VG. It was confirmed that the thermoelectric conversion device with electret by immobilization treatment at VG>0 maintains n-type characteristics even when VG=0.
